“Dear Future Generations, Sorry”

“Dear Future Generations, Sorry”, is an An Apology Letter to Future Generations. It is derived from an inspirational video made by Price Ea. Published on Apr 20, 2015.

I think this text is very effective as if it seems the writer of that text is very apologetic to the way people has been treating this world. And the writer is apologizing based on all human beings that has done damage to the world. And I agree with the writer in respect of the way the writer tried to mention about the effect we humans have been doing to the mother nature. Because, that is true. We humans are selfish and regardless of whatever we have, we are still greedy and seek for more and more. Thus, in this process we are damaging the whole world.

The writer tried to mention all these through rhymes, as he tried to say through all about the earth and its condition sadly. The writer seemed very disappointed on the way we treat the world leaving all the Cora on footprints, increasing global warming, and thus increasing the amount of pollution.  The three words the writer used is sorry, excuses, disaster. The word sorry means in this text that the writer is apologetic and sorry about the way we treat the world. He is upset the way and felt bad the way the world is being treated. The word excuses in this video meant, that we are setting up and putting up so many reasons to build a better world. Rather than thinking about making a change to the environment, we are cutting down trees and polluting lands by believing we are bringing a good change to the world. This is not right, because we are not only bringing a change to the world and to all the human beings’ lives, but also, we are changing the ecosystems of the whole nature and the world. In the process we are destroying the nature and our one and only earth. The word disaster, is being used but the writer to convey the damage and the disaster we have brought upon us, our environment, and our nature. The writer seemed angry and upset when he was mentioning about that.

I believe if this destruction of mother nature goes on, if we forget the empathy for the people around us, the nature around us, and the living creature among us, we are sure to see a world that will not be live able for our future generations. It will be full of population, making it quite impossible for any living creature. And I believe the future would be dark if this continues to go on. Next generation won’t be able to live a healthy life and won’t be able to see a beautiful world.
